When you want to upload videos on YouTube by capturing desktop screen or for any other purpose. A better way is to do it with VLC player. Lets see how to capture desktop screen as video with your mouse movement.
Step 1 : Get the latest version of VLC for better performance and convenience.
Step 2 : Open your VLC player
By default VLC player will not record mouse movement. You have to upload a mouse pointer image then start recording.
Step 3 :Go to Tools ⇒ Preferences (Ctrl + P)
Step 4 :Select All in "Show settings" in bottom left corner.
Step 5 : In Input/Codecs select Access Modules ⇒ Screen.
Step 6 : Now check the Follow the mouse and Browse for the pointer image and save.
Note : The mouse pointer should be in .png format.
You can use this simple mouse pointer.
Step 7 : Go to Media ⇒ Open Capture Device (Ctrl + C)
Step 8 : Select Capture mode as Desktop and Give your desired frame rate. (20 will be fine). Then click on convert.
Step 9 : Now choose your video format and browse for the file (Video) location to be saved and give a name for your video.
Step 10: Now click on start button. Now your desktop video capture will start.
